Trying to understand how heater control-interlock circuit. It seems that omega relay is switch for heater, KRPA relay is one for interlock.

CODA EASY SETUP TECHNOTE

Trying to get comminucation between Laptop and Heater Controller working. Found we only need to crossover the #2 #3 wire in RJ45 line.

Help Brad to fix the 4th CsI detector. Found 3-4 places have leakage. Rewrap them, now it's fine.

5:10pm
Back to Target Lab. Help xfzhu to setup communication downstairs. We found we could not use the wire which we made crossover and normal wire. We think that's because the distance is so long that it has already excessed the limit of RS-232 ( 12 meters ). However, once we add RS232 Mini-tester in the interface, we find for this two different wire, we can use both to commute. For this part, we don't understand very well, especially the part of Mini-tester.

See Target-Logbook entry 481. At high temperature, the wave tube has some problem.

Back to Rm122 in EEL Building. Stack three detectors in a vertical line in a box, which are surrounded by foam protector. The fourth one needs repaired.

Go to Target Lab in EEL Building. Trying to set up connection between Laptop and Heater Controller. Failed. Tomorrow I will call OMEGA.

Back to office. Writing some technote for CODA.

Setup Computer for controlling Heater Controller

Meet Brad and Florentin at Room 122 in EEL Building. Test All four CsI detector with light leakage, found #4 had a hole on one side which cause light leakage. We couldn't get signal when no cover on it.

Borrow Drills and Electronical Hardware from techinian for making a bigger hole on the white plate touched with brown air pipe. Bring them to Target Lab. I will make a log entry for remindering anyone else.

Meet Brad in Rm126 in EEL Building to figure out DAQ. Unfortunately, we need to learn the CODA code for CAMAC. Hard to find info in CODA manual. Need to ask Expert like Eugen.

Attend Hall-A meeting to know what's going on for GEN.

2:10pm
Follow Brad and Eugen to Rm122. Talk about the test system for CsI detector.Make some room for our test in Rm122. Eugen will create an account for us to run test on his machine and send CAMAC code to Brad.

5:00pm
Discussion with Brad and Florentin about next step for CsI detector test. First do the light leakage test to make sure CsI has been wrapped correctly. Next get the correct parameter for CsI.

5:30pm
Start to write technical note of Spin-Flip program.

11:47pm
Finish 80% writting.
